Applications are invited for a walk-in interview at 11.30 a.m. on 28.05.2018 (Monday) in the Department of Physics, Tezpur University for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST SERB sponsored project entitled “Development of graphene based conducting polymer nanocomposites for electrochemical energy storage applications” under the Principal Investigator Professor A. Kumar, Department of Physics, Tezpur University.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics, M.Sc./M.Tech. in Nanoscience and Technology/Materials Science with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Desirable: Candidates with working experience in electrochemical synthesis, impedance analysis and chemical synthesis of graphene will be given additional preference.
Fellowship: Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) only per month for the first and second year, and Rs.28,000/- (Rupees Twenty Eight Thousand) only per month for the third year for NET qualified candidates. Candidates with postgraduate degree in professional courses are also entitled to the same remuneration.
HRA as per rules will be admissible, if no University accommodation is provided.
Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Duration: Appointment will be initially for a period of one (01) year, which may be extended further upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent and coterminous with the project.
Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination, any other testimonials and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) at 11.30 a.m. on 28.05.2018 (Monday) in the Department of Physics, Tezpur University.
N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
